Was your bat mitzvah vegetarian? Meat is one of the most unsustainable aspects of modern life, with beef taking up 1/4 of the world's land for cows to graze, using huge amounts of water, taking grain that people could be eating, and of course contributing more to global warming than all the tranportation in the world. A bat mitzvah with meat couldn't really be green, so I'm hoping that this was part of your celebration. Kudos to you for the idea!
