Flowers:
For our centerpieces on the tables, we made flowers out of soda cans, bottle caps, and bottle tabs. Not only were we using trash that would've ended up in a landfill, but we also avoided the negative impact that shipping cut flowers(that only last a day or so) have on our planet. Maybe someone will reuse these "bouquets" for another event...
Can I have first dibs on your center pieces??? I would love to use them for our Heart Gallery fundraiser and I promise to take good care of them and they will ride home with me which I have to do anyways to get home so there for no extra green house gases will be released into the environment. Thanks for keeping us up to date - can't wait till next weekend!
Sadie, these are wonderful. So is the blog. I'm so sorry I am unable to be at your bat mitzvah to see everything! Congratulations ... this is the smartest thing I've seen in a long time. Love, Pat
